Research Here at Missing Links we are in our 10th year of researching and re-uniting U.K. born adoptees with birth families, working for clients at home and around the World and tracing family in many countries. We offer a full service including initial contact if required as well as acting as a 'mail-box' to allow time for people to contact each other whist still maintaining a 'comfort zone'. Our research is carried out with total confidentiality. Quite frequently adoptees have not had access to records of their birth and adoption. Using our database we are usually able to advise where these may be located and how they may be accessed. Searching During the course of research we initially utilise any of the following records
If you have already had access to your adoption file or have specific information relating to your birth parents, it may help the research if you can provide copies or details. Likewise if you have a copy of your 'full' original birth certificate please send us a copy. Any copy documents can be sent to us as scanned pages attached to an email or by fax or conventional mail. Full details are shown on the 'Contact Us' page. Should our searches indicate that the person we are seeking has moved to another country then we utilise the services of other professional researchers in that country. They are aware of the confidential nature of our work and we trust them to carry out our research both professionally and confidentially.
